Gay cruising puerto rico
Home / dating hookup / Gay cruising puerto rico
Due to the likely combination of gentrification and increased acceptance of LGBT+ people, you can find gay locals and tourists at most of the city’s beaches. Winter Pride takes place in December each year and is a weeklong series of events, performances, parties and more. Message me on Instagram if you go and let me know how it was.
Gay Tours in Puerto Rico
For gay tours in Puerto Rico you should get in contact with Coqui del Mar.
They either run gay tours themselves or can help put you in touch with recommended people.
Activities for Gay Travellers in Puerto Rico
There is so much to write about when it comes to ‘Gay Puerto Rico’, but of course there is so much more to the island for all types of travellers. Here are 9 reasons why you might consider booking your stay during your trip to San Juan.

The Tryst Hotel
Tryst Hotels are a collection of luxury gay boutique hotels that have been popping up at some of the most popular gay travel hotspots around the world.
The Tryst San Juan, Puerto Rico had a huge renovation transforming it into a luxury beach front resort.
It is also home to The Atlantic at the Tryst which serves food and drinks and a drag brunch on sundays.
As a gay traveller I felt super comfortable and safe during my trips to Puerto Rico. I went here twice, including for my birthday.
SX often runs different events and sometimes has a small cover charge depending on the night. They also do a great job at offering options for vegetarians and vegans. While the weekday breakfast is simple yet good, they pull out all the stops for the brunch including delicious homemade quiche, French toast, fruit salad, scrambled eggs and more.
You'll get a chance to see the facilities, including where they serve their daily breakfast and weekend brunches (always a tropical experience with local ingredients).
I’d recommend spending half a day here and to take a walk along and outside the walls of Old San Juan.
Explore by Bike
During my visit I explored a lot by bike. They can also take you on an excursion to a secret naked beach and more. Book direct on their website, for any of their food and cocktail tours and use the exclusive code: coquiandspoon15 for a 15% discount.
Club Vieques is an adults only hotel on the island of Vieques (a 20 minute flight from the main island).
They have a clothing optional pool and pool bar area which is beautiful, it’s giving Mykonos beach club vibes. Of course, as tourism resumed to the island, the gays are always amongst the first to return to travel and visit their favorite gay places.
But the coincidence of the red lights doesn’t go unnoticed.
Friendly Community & Social Atmosphere
While there are other gay-owned or gay-operated guesthouses in San Juan, Coqui del Mar is currently the only guesthouse created for the LGBT+ community. He may look menacing at first but he’s actually quite the sweetheart.
Room Types for All Needs & Budgets
One great aspect of Coqui Del Mar is that they’ve made their rooms accessible to nearly all types of travelers and budgets.
If you are staying at a gay hotel like Coqui del Mar the whole hotel will probably go and watch together.
Cabo Rojo Pride (Boqueron)
Usually the week after Puerto Rico Pride, and said to be even bigger, many people head to Boqueron for Cabo Rojo Pride.
As I have mentioned earlier, Boqueron, whilst small, is littered with pride flags and has a pride statue showing very clearly, how welcome you are here.
This is next on my list for when I visit Puerto Rico.
Gay Cruising in Puerto Rico
Beyond the dark room areas of some of the gay bars mentioned, and the playroom venue mentioned below there are a couple of spots I have been reliably told are good gay cruising spots in Puerto Rico.
One of the most popular spots is Ocean Park in San Juan, both the park area itself and the beach.
This is the place to go for ‘gay sundays‘.
