Marina’s denials apparently didn’t hold any water with staunch anti-LGBT psychiatrist Charles Socarides. While Garrison’s theory about the CIA may be true, he failed to connect Shaw to JFK’s assassination. But one particular theory is lowkey one of our favorites—it suggests that JFK might have been more queer than we ever imagined.
John F.
Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. They lived together for about two months, up until Nov. 22,1963, when JFK was assassinated. During the visit, Marina repeatedly rebuffed his entreaties to “quit Ruth” and live with him, according to Manchester’s book.
He says Billings even had his own room in the White House, much to Jackie Kennedy’s chagrin.
Billings made his desire known while the two were still at school by writing Kennedy a love note on a piece of toilet paper.
A startled Kennedy responded to the note by saying, “Please don't write to me on toilet paper anymore.
Gittings described Paine as a very kind and generous person, who never gave any indication of being lesbian or bisexual. And she’s such a caring person, I figured she’d find a way to get the money to Marina.”
Today, Marina, 73, lives in suburban Dallas with Kenneth Porter, an electrician whom she married in 1965.
Garrison later embraced a revised theory that Shaw, Oswald and Ferrie worked for the CIA. He theorized the agency masterminded JFK’s murder at the behest of the military because JFK was easing Cold War tensions and pulling out of Vietnam. I am sure the good Lord knows that heaven is Jesus and Lem and Jack and Bobby loving one another.”

In 1969, New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison prosecuted Clay Shaw for allegedly conspiring to kill President John F.
Kennedy.

David Pitts, the author of Jack and Lem: The Untold Story of an Extraordinary Friendship, told him: “Lem was a gay man and he had a 14-year-old, good-looking kid living in his house with him and there had been rumors because of that.
A love note Billings allegedly wrote to JFK—on a piece of toilet paper. Marina resided in suburban Dallas with Ruth Paine, a Quaker woman who was separated from her husband, Michael. I'm not that kind of boy.”
However, Kennedy's feelings soon changed and he became more amenable to his friend's advances, according to Lawrence J.
Quirk, author of The Kennedys in Hollywood, who first met Billings in the mid-forties when both were volunteers in Jack Kennedy's first congressional campaign.
Quirk claims Billings would later confide in him that his relationship with Kennedy was sexual, to a point, and “included oral sex, with Jack always on the receiving end.”
Their arrangement, Quirk says, “enabled Jack to sustain his self-delusion that straight men who received oral sex from other males were really only straights looking for sexual release,” and, “Jack was in love with Lem being in love with him and considered him the ideal follower adorer.”
Although Joe Kennedy, the family patriarch, was reportedly suspicious of Billings’ close relationship with his son, the Kennedy family welcomed Billings into their exclusive family circle.

It took a New Orleans jury less than an hour to acquit Shaw. While JFK went on to become president, Billings remained a constant figure in his life.
He even had his own room in the White House, something that reportedly annoyed Jackie Kennedy to no end.
JFK may have had gay experiences with friend claims biographer
President John F.
Kennedy may have had an intimate relationship with a gay friend from his prep school days, claims bestselling author Jerry Oppenheimer, who has written two books about the Kennedys.
While the 35th president has been legendarily known as a womanizer who frequently cheated on his wife, Oppenheimer alleges that JFK’s three-decades-long relationship with his former prep school friend Lem Billings may have been a sexual one.
Kennedy and Billings met in 1933 in their sophomore year at Choate Rosemary Hall, an exclusive Connecticut prep school.
Manchester also claimed that Paine intended to take Marina to a Planned Parenthood clinic, for advice on achieving sexual satisfaction apart from their husbands. Garrison espoused that theory after investigators founds whips, chains and leather regalia inside Shaw’s residence. A successful businessman prior to his arrest, Shaw died of cancer in 1974.
Ruth never charged Marina rent, noting the benefits she received from the friendship, including learning Russian, which Marina spoke proficiently. And this theory it’s definitely one of the spiciest.
