You became a lesbian role model from Xena. How did that feel?

Even the few kisses shared between them on the show could be explained away through fantastical plot scenarios, including body swapping and transferring magic. In addition, he's an award-winning journalist and professed educator. "Gabrielle, you don't have to say a word," and they kiss. Xena kissed Gabrielle goodbye when Gab briefly married a man, and the two shared a kiss when Xena was in Autolycus' body in Season 2's "The Quest." Xena has been temporarily dead for a few episodes, and the pair reconnect in the spirit realm.
Over six seasons, many of the hit show's viewers came to consider the the dynamic between Xena and Gabrielle to be romantic. Or Gabrielle and Autolycus kiss, depending on how you look at it.
Things only got gayer from there.
I wore my full Xena wardrobe in public going to the ATM once during filming. Xena and Gabrielle's proposed romance never stood a chance, as something ahead of its time, but in the modern world of comics, these barriers have thankfully been surmounted.
